Dear Baterbys,
Thank you for everything you did to make the children's gala for UCP such a HUGE success!! I hope you realize how grateful we are for Baterby's and you, from donating your auctioneer services to your Platinum sponsorship, artwork for the silent auction, and generous $*** contribution towards the children's therapy scholarships.
I know you're anxiously waiting to hear the results of the live auction. I'm waiting on the final, formal auction report from Tom Beaton, but he assured me last night that his records show that we made over $*** on the auction (combined total for both the silent and live auction.)
This year $*** of the over $*** raised came strictly from the therapy scholarships generated during the live auction. Last year, we only raised $*** from the therapy scholarship piece.
And THAT my friend, is quite an accomplishment!
I know we made less on the other portion of the live auction (those 5 items). Based on what I remember of their final amounts, I think it’s between $*** to $***. But please know that last year we had 10 live auction items (twice as many & it was too many) with a net of $*** (after removing costs of consignment items . . . we decided against having any consignments this year). In this economy, we were not as optimistic about the live auction piece so I wasn't surprised. Given a different economy, I'll bet those 5 items would have gone for at least $***0.
But just look at what was raised for the kids from the therapy scholarship portion!!!! $***!! Over half of the total amount raised!!!!
All of your efforts will result in thousands of first steps and first words for these incredible kids. On behalf of the children and their families, thank you for your incredible generosity and awesome talent as an auctioneer!

I want to add my voice to the thanks from Terri and also all the kids and their families at UCP! You have truly helped us make a difference that will change their lives forever!
Everyone I talked to said you did a fantastic job - reading the audience superbly and obviously with a great passion for your work and UCP!
You even actually did what I consider one of the greatest accomplishments - you got my Depression-era parents - who were at the event - to bid on a Children's Therapy Session! Having been raised during those times - It is extremely hard to get them to part with their money so you definitely scored big on that one!
