 WILLIAM HARDESTY William Hardesty is originally from Florida and a graduate from University of Central Florida. Self-employed, he predominantly produces large murals and mixed media on canvas. He uses acrylics, mediums, oils and lacquers and his subject matter always incorporate faces. William seeks to reproduce and capture particular emotions and the feelings of his subjects; he tries to capture raw moments of life in each piece. He paints in order to spark off reactions from the viewers and to make them reflect upon the emotion being transmitted and reflect upon their own life as well. The artist is described as reliable, kind and inspiring by those who know him and he believes true happiness is a marker of success. William’s favorite color is grey; he believes that placing variations of grey placed together create a sense of calm and clean feel. If he could pick a time-period to live in, William would be curious to experience life in the early 1900’s when personalities such as Disney, Van Gogh or Frank Lloyd Wright among others were discovered. Finally the artist sees himself as an ambitious fearless and caring artist and person who is motivated in his work by capturing a feeling so others can share in the moment.
