Tom Rossetti

Being a native Floridian, Tom Rossetti is drawn to the dynamics of weather and atmospheric conditions. Lightning, wild thunderstorms, hurricanes, crashing waves and sunrises, evoke a range of emotions and moods, in which he conveys their energies among his artwork. Rossetti states, “when you look at my landscapes, you will see that I am drawn to the drama of nature and atmospheric conditions.” Born in Fort Lauderdale in 1963, Rossetti graduated from Florida Atlantic University in 1986 with Bachelor in Fine Arts degrees in Fine Art and Art History. He has become a well-known figure on the South Florida art scene, specializing in landscapes and abstract paintings.

Classically trained, Rossetti has developed into an Abstract Expressionist, influenced by Mark Rothko, Helen Frankenthaler, Willem de Kooning, and Robert Motherwell. “I love the freedom of expressing emotions as I paint, however, most of the time I let the paint itself direct the mood and composition of my canvases.” Additionally, Tom is a gifted Interior and Landscape Designer, an accomplished pianist and a gourmet cook. Coming from a talented backgrond, Rossetti aspired to the likes of Pre-Raphaelite painter Dante Gabrielle Rossetti and found art an outward expression of his emotions.

Passionate about art, Rossetti has directed several galleries in South Florida and is a sought after and respected juror for many of the South Florida art exhibitions and shows. As an art dealer, Tom collarborates with designers and galleries and sources out art for yachts. He is the current owner and director of Tom Rossetti Fine Art located in Pompano Beach, Florida. Currently, he is working on an upscale condiminium project in Fort Lauderdale. His artwork can be viewed among private collections across the United States and Europe.
