William Vincent Kirkpatrick Exhibit Opening Night
Rarely do we witness a display of artistry so vivid, compelling and encompassing that they are altogether interspersed between a memorable experience and a longing for a newfound passion. In those occasions, we are enrapt by the bewildering beauty before us and can only hope that we are able to fully realize the fullness of what that immersive experience has to bestow. Last Friday, March 27, over 200 never-before seen artworks by the late Floridian impressionist, William Vincent Kirkpatrick, were exhibited in Baterbys Art Auction Gallery at Pointe Orlando.
Having been one of the most travelled painters in his time, the scenes of his works had a broad range of imageries and subjects. From charming country houses in California, to exquisite villas in Europe, to land and sea forms across Ireland, William Vincent’s works are a class on its own.
Gallery guests were enthralled by the splash of colors and more so, intrigued by William Vincent’s wide array of interests. Guided by the brilliant art lecture, people were slowly able to piece together the mystery behind the artist’s expression of movement and space. Seeing different painting styles, differing brush strokes and varying degrees of precision in his works, it is a wonder what his ubiquitous, iconic mark is.
There is much to be said and even much more to be uncovered about William Vincent Kirkpatrick. It is truly in the eye and mind of the beholder that these works come alive and piece together.
One can be left to think whether all these pieces were indeed the brainchildren of one man.
The exhibit will end on April 10. So take your chance upon this gradual revelation, view the works of the man who was known for his “inventions”.
