This is an original etching by German-born artist Alex Gockel. While Gockel may be best known for his exuberant abstract paintings, he is also a talented printmaker. In 1988, he purchased a mill which he has used as a center for graphic printing. Twenty years later, he founded the art group Quadriga which creates etchings and lithographs.

Horizon of Love features Gockel’s signature abstract, elongated figures. The work also demonstrates his skill at perspective drawing.
